Kuwait had to deal with a situation involving expat workers on Monday, as they were getting ready to board a bus to take them to a school before being repatriated.
Responding to a viral video online, Kuwait's Ministry of Interior said on Monday that law enforcers managed to contain a group of expats (from African countries) as a large group gathered resulting in a difficult situation, Kuna reported.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry's public relations and security media department, the workers had gathered in Mahbula area waiting for buses to take them to a school where they would stay pending their repatriation.
The statement was issued in response to a video of the incident circulating on social media.
The buses were not at the site when the expats arrived and some crowds were about to spill out of control, which led to security officers stepping in to control the situation.
