The Ministry of Health and Prevention in the UAE has registered 502 new Covid-19 cases, resulting from conducting more than 33,000 tests on citizens and residents in various regions of the country.
Since the outbreak, the country has recorded a total of 16,240 infections.
The ministry also confirmed that eight individuals of different nationalities had succumbed to the virus. The Covid-19-related death toll has now risen to 165.
With 213 new recoveries, as many as 3,572 patients have recovered from the infection.

Saudi Arabia
On May 6, the Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia announced 1,687 new Covid-19 cases in the kingdom, spiking the total number of infections to 31,938.
The ministry also confirmed nine additional deaths, bringing the tally of Covid-19 induced fatalities to 209.
Oman
The sultanate has announced a total of 55 new coronavirus cases, spiking the total infections to 2,958, Oman News Agency reported.
Of the newly diagnosed cases, 15 were Omani nationals while the rest were expatriates.
As many as 13 people have died due to the virus while 980 people are said to have fully recovered.


Bahrain
As of May 6, 8pm local time, Bahrain had a total of 2,066 active Covid-19 cases, of whom only four are said to be in a critical condition.
Kuwait
On May 7, the Ministry of Health in Kuwait has confirmed 162 additional recoveries, spiking the total number of recovered cases to 2,381, Kuwait News Agency reported.
Qatar
The Ministry of Public Health announced 918 new confirmed cases of Covid-19, and 216 recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recovered cases in ​Qatar to 2,286.
