The UAE Health Ministry said on Thursday that it has conducted over 37,000 COVID-19 tests, which helped it to trace 698 new coronavirus cases bringing the total number of infections in the country to 21,084.
The ministry also announced that 3 more patients infected with the virus have died due to the complications related to infection.
With Thursday’s 3 new deaths the total number of people who have died of corona in the UAE has reached 208.
Ministry has announced that 407 patients of coronavirus have fully recovered after the treatment, which brings the total number of recoveries in the country to 6,930.
Separately, the Ministry of Health and Prevention also announced that it had amended the deadline for renewing its services for 3 additional months, and thus suspends the incurred financial penalties.
Meanwhile, the Abu Dhabi Emergency Crisis and Disasters Committee for COVID-19 Pandemic has inaugurated a field hospital at Al Razeen as part of Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s field hospital initiative.
The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and wished current COVID-19 patients a speedy and full recovery.
It called on the public to cooperate with health authorities and adhere to social distancing protocols and preventative measures to ensure the health and safety of all.
